Hello  :)

I have seen some very strange things happen on the air-ball machines recently. One casino regular who is a big player where I normally play will not go to a live wheel because he thinks the dealer will try and cheat him. So he play the airball machine. Anyway I was watching him play the other day and he was winning a good bit to start with. I should also say that he is a section player. All of a sudden whenever the ball was about to land in one of his section, it jump up again and do a kind of loop half way round the wheel. This now started to happen on a regular pattern and he ended up losing everything. In fact in 20 years of gambling I have never seen anyone have such a bad run as he had on that machine. I would prefer to give the wheel the benefit of the doubt and just say it was an extreme case against the player but I can honestly say that there was something very strange going on.

I am not expert in such machines but it would not be that hard surely to cheat with them. The computer inside can know what numbers are heavy bet on. Then the wheel stop dead and what is to stop some kind of force pushing the ball around the wheel when it is about to drop in a winning number. It is the way the ball loops up and skips out a whole section that surprises me.

If anyone can explain it, It would be appreciated.

Hello there Enrique,

Best thing to do in such instances is to play "action numbers" or numbers evenly scattered at the disk:

The'll have a hard time this way; as it is straight-up single number shooting! They just can't hit or miss a single straight-up number at will, unless the less likely nasty tricks are on (magnets, air).

If you get the long losing streaks when betting this way, you can be certain it is because of randomness itself and not because of them "aiming" at you.  ;)

Best regards.

airballs arent rigged, the house edge is still there so they will make their money anyway, there is no need for them to cheat, exactly the same case as RNG,

if you picked 36 numbers to play and lost with live dealer you would say its bad luck,
but if picked 36 numbers to play and lost on RNG, airball or any other thing without a dealer you would say its cheating,

your more likely to create the illusion in your mind that things are cheating unless you can see beyond doubt that it isnt

I see these wheels almost every day... and yes, strange things happen.. I saw when a friend was on a realy bad run he joked and say, lets cover the layout and leave 31 empty.. 31 exited... cheat or no, it was strange and bounces were unusual somethimes ball went back half a wheel... but what happens when someone hits single on a maxtable bet? maybe that strange things were just normal roulette movement maybe it was computer.. I would love to do some more research

Hello, thanks for the replies.

JHM, the third spin looked familiar. It is sometimes like seeing the ball pulled around the wheel to a designated number. Most unusual and as Boo Ray says about the strange bounces. I have never seen on a live wheel where the ball is about to stop and then all of sudden loop around the other side of wheel.

Ryan, I agree with you the casino do not have to cheat 100%. The odds are in their favour. But I see strange things with my own eyes that I not see in 20 years of gambling.
In today where economic times are hard, if the casino get you through the door with your hard earned money, then it is their job to get it from you. One way of doing that would be to manipulate these machines. It would be very hard to prove it as well.
Like I said in my opening post, I hope I am wrong, but I have my doubts.

Thank you Victor for your advice, I play the air-ball machine regular and will take on board what you have said.

Well if you look at the video you will see that the pockets are really shallow. I haven't seena wheel with that shallow pockets.

This makes sense cause deeper pockets would most probably make it harder for the rigged wheel to work to it's potential. The airball I have played had standard deep pockets. Also I cannot say that it is crooked. I actually had some ok wins on it. I think that if I had to find a wheel with them almost non existent pockets I will run lolol
