As this is the "Gambling Framework" section, I thought of opening a thread for compiling a list of similarities and differences between roulette as a game and roulette as a physical device.

This helps in identifying what are we dealing with, as sometimes people just talks about "roulette" and makes no distinction between the game and the device, which may lead to futile arguments.
Roulette, game:|Roulette, device:
Is governed by math.|Is governed by physics.
Dealer is accepted to have no influence|Dealer is accepted to have influence over the outcome (release point, used strength, etc.)
Statistical variables are the measure (Standard deviation, etc.).|Physical variables are the measure.(Wheel type, ball size & material, dominant diamond, ball revolutions, current dealer...)
Is oficially unbeatable|It is accepted beatable via advantage-play methods (VB, Bias, DS).
Feel free to add more!

Best regards.
