Why do people believe in numerology and the numeris?

Why do people believe that numerology works when it's applied to roulette.  Why the numeris?

Is there one person that can claim that it enables them to win in the long term?

I for one do think it's nonsense, but still I'd like to hear why others so blindly believe in it.  What is the driving force behind your belief?

I suppose these are legitimate questions. Well I can't answer for others, and beliefs aside, using numerological calculations will constantly produce bet selection methods at least equal to any other selection criteria, I.e. –2.7% or better, rarely worse, as many other mainstream methods are. So I don't see what the big deal is... it's just another way to rationalize your bets.... like random against random, which is apparently quite popular.

Then, when you inject some experience, lots of practice, practice, practice, learning when to spot the good runs and the bad, etc, (a la Spike style ingredients), it can all come together quite nicely.

As regards these particular topics (numerology and the numeris)  I practise a "willing suspension of disbelief" whilst I explore numbers, their relationships, their properties using a range of prisms through which to study their behaviour in general, vis a vis roulette numbers in particular.

In other words, I have enough of an open mind to spend some research time to see where it takes me.

I have sufficient confidence that others (the Ancients) discovered and used certain numerical methods to help them understand the world around them -- and beyond.

Perhaps I'll discover enough of their methods to predict certain numbers arriving. Perhaps not.

The last thing I would ever do is to pour scorn and ridicule something without first making it my business to find out whether or not it has any validity... To do so is a form of self-disclosure.

[As an aside, we've had more than enough of that already on this forum in the previous 'numerology thread' that was totally wrecked and destroyed by ignorance, stupidity, prejudice and gross immaturity, overlaid with outrageous personal attacks. If THIS THREAD IS TO SURVIVE THEN IT CAN ONLY DO SO WITHOUT PERSONAL ATTACKS ON INDIVIDUALS. ]

mayby its because it happend to see some patterns form many times more than the others...for example one friend of mine told me that zero and three are connected and they can apear like 0-3,0-3-0 etc...this was told by a friend of him,so 2 different times that i visited casino with my friend it happend to see this :0-3-0!so my friend was cinvised that something is happening,,,,but for me its just because the zero is green and the eye can see this easily...i believe is from selective memory as konfused says in his posts.but thats my opinion-why i would believe- ,i have no idea about numerology  and i hope it could work!!cheers

He was a student of numeris,he came out top didn't he?

There must be a reason for people using such approach,I don't believe it either but I had an encounter with it and it just hit and hit on the numbers. Well,you can call it luck.

Simply, they both involve numbers so they must be connected. They're not. Numerology is hocus pocus nonsense, you see what you want to see.

Study the nature of random, at least you'll be on the right path instead of always lost in the woods.

May I join your topic?

I believe that certain numbers inspire other numbers to appear.  I have preached this for years and, for want of a better explanation, I have called it "Voodoo Roulette".  Why do I believe this?  Because I've seen it with my own eyes, recorded it in my book and studied it for thousands of spins.  It is on the same order of those who've seen a UFO.  Sometimes you have to see it to believe it; sometimes you have to believe in it to see it.

As to the 0 and the 3, they are definitely two of the many numbers who are connected.  I once thought it was because they were so close on the wheel, 0 26, 3, and they were being spun as sectors by the dealer.  Then I studied CasinoWebCam where the wheel spins far too fast and the ball is released from the pedestal and not from the last number spun.  There is no physical way this can be attributed to dealer signature; it is numbers calling to their kin.

The numbers 28 and 29 are kissin' cousins.  I can't tell you the times I've wanted the 7 and got 28 and then 29.

I've often thought that numbers seems to follow other numbers, as you mention Sam.  But I really belive that it's what our minds "wants" us to see.  Sure you see the times that the zero is followed by the 3, or vice versa... but what about the 2, or 22?  If we are looking for  the 22, I guarantee it stands out when it comes. 

Just my thoughts.  We see what we want to see.
