Numerology pre dates most popular religions and was significantly important to many early mathematicians
and much of it was shrouded in secrecy and important aspects of it was probably destroyed, when the ancient
library in Egypt was burnt down.
 
The important consideration for us is can numerology help us with the roulette problem. Numbers of course
play a key role in numerology and leaving aside the mystical element, can the manipulation of numbers produce
positive results in any form of gambling?

I will briefly recount a true story concerning my interest in numerology. In my early days before getting into
roulette, one of my interests was horse racing. I set up a chart and allocated numbers 1 to 9 to various horses.
In order to arrive at the basic numbers 1 to 9 involved lengthy calculations and it was very time consuming, as
it was all done by hand. I only did it for a while, as it wasn't a practical proposition to do it for any length of
time. I did however get some good results and some big price winners. In particular I placed a bet on a 33/1
outsider, a real nag, absolutely no chance, as confirmed by the write up on form in the racing paper!
 
I sat down in the betting shop and watched the race. Just 6 horses in the race. It began to rain heavily at the
track. I thought rationally I must be mad to place a bet on a no hoper, especially with the terrible conditions.
The numerology chart showed number 9 was favourable for this race and the clapped out horse I had my money
on would have to be number 9, no other horse had that allocated number. The rain never stopped and neither
did my chosen horse, it romped home easy winner, the favourite was last. Of course I was elated, just couldn't
believe it. I found out the next day that whenever the horse went out in the morning gallops, it just used to trot
around and sprang to life only when it rained, as confirmed by the trainer and so far in it's outings it had only raced
on dry days hence it's poor performance and long price.
 
The reason for recounting this event is that logically, as it turned out the horse had a very good chance of
winning, given the right conditions, but the lack of full information on the horse made it a 33/1 no hoper. My
illogical choice of allocating number 9 to the horse also turned out to be the correct choice.
 
So many people knock the illogical choice of numbers, but if they produce good results, then why criticise it?
There are many people who are constantly looking for logical reasons why a, b, c works and x, y, z shouldn't only
for the reason it's illogical!
 
The question now is there anything in numerology, which can produce positive results in roulette? The answer
at the present time is I don't know, but I am certain it will involve a great deal of work, should anyone attempt
to try it.
 
An interesting thought is if roulette was around say 3000 BC, how would the people of those times have attempted
to solve the problem. They would of course have used numerological numbers and would have allocated a basic
1 to 9 to each of the roulette numbers. I have set out below a series of basic numbers which most probably would
have been used at that time.

So this would be the starting point for those ancient people. Would they have come up with anything different,
than we produce today?
 
Don't mention it's a negative expectancy game, because in those days they didn't believe in negative numbers.
They didn't like any reference to anything negative ;)
