if you have a small bankroll. say 200 dollars. i have come to the conclusion the best way to play is five numbers
together on the board. outlay five dollars a time play every spin. your target should be 50. or 100. or 150. dollars.  i have no trouble reaching 50 dollars.  as every spin is independant  this is the best way to play.  backing dozens or even money shots. with a small bankroll is sure to lose. but you only need to hit a few numbers to reach your target.  its like golf a hole in one happens all the time. give it a try.

I usually bet the zeros and numbers surrounding.  I feel more comfortable with that rather than random numbers, because the casino NEEDS zero to hit at some point.  Thats when I bet inside anyway.....which is rare.
