It's vital that early on in your career you decide not to enjoy gambling. Instead, enjoy winning and enjoy leaving the casino or the racetrack with profits in your pocket.
Gamblers who like to gamble will often do so at the expense of winning. They make $500 in half an hour, but then instead of leaving, they continue to play "for fun" and hand it all back with more besides. Their reasoning? "Winning isn't important.
Get it out of your head that gambling for its own sake is enjoyable. It isn't. Gambling, when it comes down to the bottom line, is monotonous, time consuming, selfish and boring. The enjoyable aspect is winning, and then leaving the casino or track as a winner as soon as you can.
Make this distinction now. If you don't you'll regret it sooner than you think.
Our goal is to beat the Casino by outsmarting the table. To accomplish this, you must develop patience, and discipline while using a System that works. You must also understand the Law of Averages, Risk Management, Money Management, and the existence of Trends.
In gambling it is more important if you learn how not to lose, than learn how to win. Winning is difficult but not impossible. Compulsion and House Advantage is what makes it impossible. How can you beat the House Edge? With a System that works. How can you beat compulsion? By knowing and understanding the game/odds and probabilities. The greater your knowledge, you are less likely to be compulsive. The lack of knowledge fuels compulsion. In lay terms, once you know something, you probably will not allow this to happen. Not for nothing, but it's two against one. The Casino against you, and you against you in the form of compulsion. The temptation to push against bad luck is natural.
After all we know it's due. NO IT ISN'T! Sooner comes later and later comes after you leave the casino.
While luck is a friend it is not doing us justice when it comes during a compulsive moment. It only adds fuel to the fire. It convinces the uneducated that they know what they are doing, so they do it again and again. However, they will always lose big when they least expect it. "Know your poison".
Luck increases with knowledge, knowledge of the odds, knowledge of the System you are using and knowledge of the overall game. After all, what is good luck? Good luck is winning more than losing.
The only way you do that consistently is with knowledge. You must have a good understanding of the Law of Averages, a good System with the proper money management patience and discipline, discipline, discipline and lest we forget the most important DISCIPLINE.
As they say, success is an intended destination and all intended destinations need specific directions in order to arrive safely. A good System is a good set of directions. Compulsion is the Anti - Christ of gambling. Ask our friend "Lucky John". He is the poster boy for compulsion. He has tremendous luck however compulsion always robs him of success.
Roulette is a game that puzzles and entices people to find secrets that will allow them to have a distinct advantage. The shear number of choices one has in placing a bet can delude one into thinking that they can easily find some combination of bets that are better than another. On a typical roulette table, there are 160 bet locations on a Single Zero table and 161 on the Double Zero table. It's not that easy.
