Something they don't do at my casino....

Mr J

I notice here that they never change balls, ever. Yes they might when I'm not around but I never see it. There are times I play for 10 hours, not one ball change. The ball pops out and lands on the floor, no ball change. I or someone else is kicking some serious roulette ass, no ball change. I wonder why that is? I thought this practice was routine? Ken

Mr J

This is an old topic of mine. Just wondering if anyone had something to add to it?  Ken

No ball change over both of my local casinos. But this is south america and they don't care. Heck, they don't even have a marquee and they are mid-size casinos.

At Margarita Hilton Casino have I seen a marquee connected to a manual wheel and actual countermeasures take place. Large casino though.

Regards.

Never seen a ball change at my three casinos.

Never seen a change here in Scotland either.

Even the time me and my wife were sitting nearest the wheel and the ball came flying out and right into her cleavage ! About 5 minutes later it flew out again, just missed her and rolled across the floor. Maybe the dealer was aiming for her again i'm not sure. Raised a laugh anyway.

Sure X,

Mostly dealer was being changed in an "in your face" basis to counter being stuck at an area. Pitbosses sharp as eagle, taking their job seriously and always eyeballing the game and also they care about wheel watchers, as in you get too close to the wheel by the glass you are approached; as mentioned I witnessed this guy with a hat being asked to show the inside of it. Also, in order to counter section betting after the ball is spun (as in neighbour betting) they disregard call bets (i.e. no "Number XYZ and neighbours", no Voisins, tiers... is attended), basically they only want chip scatters to play as random as they wish, no wheel watchers and no type of advantage-play whatsoever.

Haha, at my closest casino... If you come off as an advantage player they distract you by showing you more attention with complimentary drinks and people giving you a friendly checkup every now and then...
It's tremendously distracting

It's a much chivalrious way of doing it though, I wouldn't want to go to a casino where they treat you like a suspect.

Most casinos have different ball sizes for different sized hands and they change them whenever. But mostly the dealers don't care so they use the same one.

Mr J

"But mostly the dealers don't care so they use the same one." --- And once again I agree and ANOTHER bonus for me.  Ken

2nd12forlife

they change it all the time in AC, and always when it flies off the wheel

Hi Mr J.

The question that pop up in my head is what kind of ball type they use.

Yes it strange if they use an Teflon ball.
But it would not be so strange if they use Nylon.

Cheers LS

Where I play. They change the ball, ALOT. Also, for some strange reason, they always replace the current croupier for an "experienced" one very quickly when I sit down. It happens ALL THE TIME.
Why?
I don't think they like me. ;)
