I have a new puzzle to solve.

Bet  one unit on every chance of dozen three.
The next three spins are dozen 1, dozen 3 and dozen 2
Have you a profit, a loss or do you play quits ?
Please explain your answer. You can sent your answer also to rouletteplayersclub@hotmail.nl . I shall later on publish the results.

schoenpoetser

This problem is not very difficult.Though nobody report me the answer. Most designers of complicated betting schemes have no idea of the relation between the pay out  for the different spins. This puzzle is a step forwards.

bombus

It is difficult to grasp exactly what you mean, but from my understanding I would quit after the second spin with 1 unit profit.

schoenpoetser

Bomber it is not the correct answer .Some  have a problem ,what I mean  with bet one unit on all chances. You must not only bet the numbers but also splits ,corners and so on.

FreeRoulette

So you are betting 1 unit on the third dozen for 3 spins and the results are dozen 1, 3 and 2 ?

In that case, you will break even, losing the 2 units total on the first+third and winning 2 units on the second spin.

bombus

The most balanced way to bet all the Doz 3 chances is by putting an extra .5 units on splits (25,28) (27,30) (31,34) (33,36). The total outlay would be 31 units, and no matter what number hit you would collect 62 units.

So a hit with doz 3 on the second spin would give 31 units proift. You could quit there, or push on to spin 3 and risk breaking even or gaining 93 units.

Why not just put 30 units on doz 3?

schoenpoetser

Bombus we come closer to the answer. The guestion  is not what the best bet is.All chances must bet with one unit.
You have forgotten some splits.
Try again!

Free roulette your answeris not correct.

schoenpoetser

I see 265 viewers and still no correct answer. Is the puzzle so difficult?Try to solve the puzzle and learn the
mousetraps of systems most designers make.

schoenpoetser

On the forum we have some experts in roulette.Bombus has done a try.He was on the right way.Where are the other experts? You need no maths to solve the puzzle only common sense.

schoenpoetser

Has nobody "the common sense"to compute the answer?I am still waiting for the real roulette player.

Actually, I don't understand the question.  Every time I think I do, I read it again and something else comes to mind.

Is there a chance you could clarify just what it is we're looking for or what are we trying to accomplish?

schoenpoetser ,

It's not clear what you are asking. Is understanding the question, the riddle itself?

schoenpoetser

I thought it was clear when I  wrote bet one unit on all chances of the last dozen .
12 numbers  12 units
   4 streets      4 units
   3 sixlines      3 units
   6 corners      6 units
  17 splits       17 units
    1 dozen       1 unit

total 43 units.
The next spins are do 1,do3 and do2
Do you have a profit or do you lose?.Perhaps you play even.(equal )

Mike

Doesn't it depend on which number of the winning dozen the ball lands? For instance, if the winning number is 25, then this only includes 2 splits and 1 corner, but if it lands on 29 you will get payouts from 4 splits and 4 corners.

That's right, it's a drawn out answer... unless there's some twist, of course.

That's why I posted the balanced version earlier.
