I have NEVER asked this question before on any board but it has been asked of me.

With all your AP skills ( :suicide:), do you think you have 'beat' roulette? If the question is too vague, no problem, I can re-ask it in any form that makes you feel  most comfortable.

??? Why would they ask you if you have beaten the game of roulette using AP if you don't get that side of the game and do not participate in that part at all? Just wondering.

'They' never have. I'm referring to when they ask me in terms of METHODS. I figure, its FAIR if I ask the same question back.

A second question I want to add for the crew. Lets say I'm interested in the study of wheel bias (cough). I live in a town with only one casino, a few wheels. If I cant spot a bias, now what do I do? Do I travel the country looking for one?  :girl_wacko:

OR......simply rule out playing roulette? Perhaps stamp collecting?

Ken,

You got it  !

A lot of  distant travel  is now being done   in   search for the proper wheel.  From what I gather this  seems to be the norm.

Kaisan travelled from Germany to Macau  and did not play  one  single spin .The  same  goes   for  another poster here  and  at the other VLS site.  He went from  Eastern Europe  to Macau  and side stepped the  roulette section  . He  played Mini Bac  instead.

It pays to have a back up game.In addition to  Baccarat I would  also recommend  Pai Gow Poker. Great Game. Is  this  being offerend  in your localiity?

Mr J

Yep, as far as I know, I think we have everything here.

Interesting talking about other games. What is the difference between slot machines and roulette system play? Now there is a good question. Both the wheel and the machine are real number generators. Both have a similar percentage house edge. Both you will have winning days but eventually you will have more loosing days.

Simply put. If you think you beat roulette with systems you should beat slots as well. Slots is the perfect reason why progressions won't work. Anything can come up. So why do people not realize the same goes for roulette. ???

Yes, you have to put in a bit of effort to find suitable wheels, but not as much as you might think.  ;)

If you can't be bothered to do that, stamp collecting is a good alternative, it won't cost you as much as playing systems sorry - METHODS (splutter).

Assuming you are an AP guy (I never really know these days), any comment on my TWO questions?

Sooooo, I'm not asking about 'putting in effort'. I asked, if there are none here at my casino in town and a person can NOT travel (for whatever reason), is that it until next time, checking them again? How long of a time period?

It depends on what your intentions are. If you play 30 spins  twice a months, just play whatever wheel you got within a stone throw. If your intentions is to make a steady second income as a semi pro, maybe adding 25 - 40% to your income in your business, you NEED to learn some specific tecknikes inside out, uou NEED  find a beatable wheel. You NEED to put in some 3 - 6 days in a row.   Map it out and play it with relatively large units until you are happy and they are not.

After the arrival of the internet, make some networking groups to scout for opportunitys.  Meet up with your network  in new places, meet people, wine and dine at nice places, see the world. LIVE LIFE and getting payed while doing something you enjoy and has perpared for. Sometime you strike it big, sometimes you waste 3 days and lose a bit. But as long as the wife urges you to go again, it can`t be all that bad.

Some like it, some don`t.   Some people can`t afford  to travel and take few days off once a month, others can because they supply their income while off work.

Life is full of personal choices, but why always pick the boring ones ?

Excellent post by Kelly. No penny ante  stuff. Classy suggestions. Mode of travel, hotels  and meals  don`t come  cheap either. Not to forget the .proper bankroll.  :ok:

"find a beatable wheel. You NEED to put in some 3 - 6 days in a row.   Map it out and play it with relatively large units until you are happy and they are not" >>> Kelly, I love ya like a brother but.....

You are explaining to me, what to do. I'll never have interest in this 'type' of betting but I appreciate your post.

Let me ask it differently. Lets say *YOU* lived in a town with only a few wheels. You do your daily search for that bias but can not find one (at least for now) AND you can not travel (for whatever reason). Do you throw in the towel? Is it the end for you in terms of 'looking for a bias'? What would be next?

Ken

Kelly

My god you are sensitive.  Replace the "you"s with "I"s.   The answer is pretty obvious, if you insist on being an advantage player but refuse to search in more than 1 - 2 local casinos  that might not have playable wheels,  you are in for a serious chunk of stamp collecting or get good at plays where you can beat other players like Poker.
