Ken and Gregs football matchup??

Okay Greg I have an offer for you. I'm trying to keep this VERY SIMPLE. Rules >>> We can bet on either pro or college (or mix it up). With the line and/or totals betting. (that means the over/unders). Starting bets CAN be on 8/30. No pre-season or post season bets. This means bowl games/playoffs. 25 bets MUST be made. No less and NO MORE than 25. You can bet spreading it out or near the end of the season, whatever but *25* exactly. No vig, no dollar units. Just the BEST of 25. For example you might finish 15-10 OR 11-13-1. Try and place bet(s) kind of early. Not 5 minutes before kickoff. You can drop a bet (due to injury etc) but again, try and do it somewhat early. Id like to join too, I wouldnt be any competition for you guys, since I don't follow football at all, but it would be nice to get some competition in this part of forum too and rise interest in this maybe.

Also, we could do basketball and hockey too when season starts if you up for it

Yes, the more the better. I picked 25 bets (not necessarily 25 games) cause its easier betting with a fake pot PLUS keeping track of the vig etc. Good luck to all who play. The rules are above, I think I covered everything. The best record of 25 total bets.  Ken

Cool Ken, Thanks.  Do have a couple questions though (gee... sounding a little like Sam now...)

1 - the odds must come into play somehow right?  Cause really if it's just who can pick 25 winners then that's much easiers (see - Patriots last year).  So I'm assuming that the odds come into play... so by picking the winning longshot pays off instead of hugging the line.

2 - if odds are part of this challenge, then how much are we allowed to bet?  I would think that since it's a fun challenge, just betting 1$ or 10$ would work, since it's easier to do the math with the odds.

Hey matty, if we are going with under/over picks, then odds don't matter, since they are fixed at around @1.90 euro or -110 @ american odds. Correct me if im wrong, I haven't used american odds in long time.
Basically, that means that whoever has best ratio wins most cash (or loses less), so is automatically winner.

How about Dec 28 because that is a Sunday. All 25 bets must be done by that date. Read rules carefully, I'm not so sure you did?  Ken
